These thurberi from the baja peninsula have a semi dwarf habit. (Not to be confused with steno. Litoralis). These cacti start fruiting at around 3 feet tall whereas the giant arizona form could up to 9 feet before their first fruits. The white form of thurberi is probably the sweetest with a taste like honey or spun sugar. Apparently rare in cultivation, this variety of thurberi is definitely a standout and very interesting addition to a pitaya collection.
