The tallest cactus in the world. Capable of growing over 100 feet. Sometimes called the Mexican saguaro or cardon. This species is one of the most consistent species throughout the baja peninsula growing from the north near El rosario to the cape region. The fruits are among the finest foods i’ve tasted. I now prefer the dried fruits of the cardon to those of the saguaro. Though they are both amazing wild foods. Each color has unique nutrients purple having a berry flavor.
