This wild guava species is native to Mexico and locally its enjoyed in drinks and eaten fresh. The taste is sweet/tart with a unique citrus myrtle flavor that many people appreciate. The trees stay small to about 10 feet so they will fruit well in a pot. Cold hardiness is in the mid to low 20’s F.
