This species was found in Ecuador on the same mountain as casana, but it has clear distinctions such as a long lanceolate leaf, different fruit morphology and taste profile. This one was even sweeter to my surprise given that casana had been the sweetest tamarillo until that point. Tree is medium sized 6-15 feet. Suitable for container culture and it should handle at least a light frost.
