Saguaro, Carnegiea gigantea (50 seeds)

$3.50

The most iconic cactus of the southwest by far. The saguaro is a life line for the whole desert including the first nation’s people who collected the fruit for 3 weeks straight in its narrow window of availability and preserved it in the form of syrup and dried fruit to be eaten the rest of the year. The seeds are also ground to make cakes. This is a more hardy cacti and can take good cold and thrives in extreme heat. Often found growing in lava rock on ancient volcanos.
