One of the most well loved and classic subtropical fruits. This tree is of medium height, and it grows very quickly to around 30 feet but it stays much shorter if its grafted. This species will grow anywhere citrus will but it has been known to survive the mid teens in temperature and definitely worth zone pushing. The fruit is very sweet and smooth like vanilla custard. The leaves are considered medicinal and can be used as a tea for aiding sleep. You can use the young sprouts as root stock, white sapote is probably the easiest tree to graft.
