One of the many columnar cactus fruits know by the name pitaya. Native to the Mexican state of Jalisco, these fruits are treasured locally for their rich, juicy and delicious sweet taste. They even have festivals for pitaya fruits throughout Mexico. Everyone has their favorite tasting color. The orange type is very likable having a rich taste with almost a pumpkin or persimmon note.
