A rare fig in cultivation native to the Sierra de la Gigante mountains in baja Mexico. This species is distinct from ficus palmeri by having glossy leaves and fruits  rather then fuzzy. The tree is the largest in its region growing very wide with bold buttress roots. Often found growing in the rocks of the Mt canyons. The fruit is sweet and tasty and the tree is very eye catching. 25 seeds min.
