Most don't know macadamia is hardy to the low 20's F. It grows as a tall tree that seems to fruit even with minimal watering. Nuts dried and toasted are of course very tasty but when still moist and fresh inside the taste is much like coconut. The new leaf growth is red and purple which is especially attractive.
