An evergreen shrub to 3 feet, Oregon grape is very cold tolerant. It has attractive glossy leaves, dense clusters of yellow flowers and dark purple and tart berries. Considered to have many medicinal qualities. The berries and roots both have strong pigment and would make a great dye. This plant will grow in full sun or full shade.
