This is the golden form of the pondaland coconut. There are green gold forms just like with regular coconuts. The color refers to the overall leaf coloration. These bite size coconuts will grow in cool climates down to the mid 20's in degrees. The trees are very attractive with an unusual square stem, incurving foliage. Best to plant in deep pots with a well draining mix with Pumice and covered with coco fiber. Seeds will put down a tap root a foot down before they shoot for the surface. This species is very rare In cultivation and has massive potential for its beauty and nut production in cooler zones.
