This mesquite species is relatively hard to find in the wild with only a few populations throughout the desert. It was about 110F degrees where I found it growing in Southern Arizona. Tree grows to 15 feet, extremely ornamental with their otherworldly twisted pods. Fruits are edible with a sweet rich taste though some other prosopis species are considered better eating. I would grow this just as a conversation starter.
