Wampe is a rare fruit in cultivation. It's In the citrus family actually and has a very unique taste which is refreshing and delicious, starting tart and becoming syrup sweet if allowed to ripen. The tree is medium height and manageable. Hardy to high 20s at least. Wampe has a special place in my heart, or is that my stomach?..
